Manchester United linked with an absolute beauty for €30m

The Theatre Of Dreams

Magic man

You could debate for hours about what Manchester United need most in terms of signings but many would agree that the centre of the midfield needs some help.

If you look at the current squad Manchester United have Carrick, Fletcher and Cleverly in the centre of the midfield. Carrick is nearly 33 years of age and the other two aren’t really up to scratch.

So massive investment is expected for that area of the team.

We think that Roma’s Kevin Strootman is destined for a move to Manchester United but he is currently injured and wouldn’t be signed this summer in all likelihood.

Another player who has been linked to Manchester United regularly over the last year or so is Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.

The Daily Express has reignites the story by suggesting that he could be available at a ‘cut price’ £24 million.

United have been linked with a bid for the Chile star as Van Gaal prepares to take charge at Old Trafford.

There is nothing really cheap about that price but Vidal would be worth the money. At 27 years of age he’s just signed a new contract with Juventus but there is rarely smoke without fire and this rumour keeps on giving.

An aggressive box to box midfielder who can also score goals (28 in 95 league ages for Juve) he’s a rare kind of player, the like of which are few and far between these days. Manchester United are desperate for this type of guy to bring might and dynamism to the midfield.

We think that he would be an absolutely super player for Manchester United but also believe that it would be a very difficult to do a deal with a team on the up.

But LvG is clearly a fan and he has spoken about the player in the past:

“Chile have very dangerous players, I always wanted to buy Vidal when he was at Bayer Leverkusen but he went to Juventus,” admitted the Dutchman.

“I like a lot of Chile players and they always play an attacking style. It will be difficult for the Netherlands but we have confidence in the three games we have to play.”

Let’s take a look at the lad in action.
