Manchester United’s next signing?
You would have to be absolutely off your chops to have a bet on who Manchester United will sign first in the winter window.
Whilst we are certain that more than one star will come in, to bolster the ailing champions, the list of potential signings is getting ever longer as names are thrown around like confetti.
Whilst we aren’t even sure that this guy wants out of his club, a player that has been persistently and strongly linked with Manchester United over the last couple of weeks is Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund.
The brilliant goal-scoring midfielder has once again been prominent among the British sports pages today as his current club are having a bit of a dip.
The Daily Mail says that £30m-rated Reus could be on his way to United
Manchester United’s hopes of landing top transfer target Marco Reus have been boosted after cracks started opening up in Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund empire.
Reus has a £30m buyout clause in his contract, and while a January move for him from United seems unlikely, should Dortmund’s struggles continue then they will have high hopes of snapping him up in the summer.
David Moyes faces a difficult task in bringing top quality to Manchester United in January. But you have a strong feeling that there will be arrivals the name of Reus remains rife amongst the rumour columns.
If Manchester United were given the opportunity to sign Reus you would imagine that they wouldn’t require mush time to think about it. He’s top talent with great technique. He plays with his head up, links play well and scores goals – a remarkable 21 in 48 for Dortmund and 7 in 19 games for Germany.
We think he would be a super player for David Moyes and quickly disperse the bad taste left in the mouths of many Manchester United fans who feel that Marouane Fellaini was an extremely expensive waste of money.
