Unbelievable talent

Now that England are out of the World Cup you can imagine that the transfer market will heat up considerably and quickly.

With Holland performing so majestically at The World Cup so far Manchester United fans will now be full of optimism about how the new manager is going to spend the transfer kitty.

If he wants Manchester United to play like Holland then the club will need an injection of pace in the forward areas.

One name that has been linked regularly to Manchester United over the last year or so is the brilliant Uruguayan Edinson Cavani.

And he’s recently stoked the fires for Manchester United fans by suggesting that he could be open to move away from PSG.

The Metro reports:

Manchester United have been given a boost in the hunt for Edinson Cavani after the PSG striker refused to rule out a transfer to Old Trafford.

Cavani has previously kept quiet about his future, but speaking to reporters at the World Cup, he is not ruling out making the transfer.

‘In football you never know – anything can happen,’ he said.

‘One day you’re in one team and then the next day you can be in another…’

The same source suggest that Manchester United are readying a £56m bid for the player this summer.

We feel that Louis van Gaal will bring another pacey forward into Manchester United this summer. There has been talk of Arjen Robben joining the club but he has stated his desire to stay in Germany.

Cavani may be more gettable and this is reflected by bookmakers Skybet who have installed Manchester United as favourites to sign the player this summer if does leave his current club PSG. At odds of 6/4 Manchester United have replaced Chelsea as the best placed club to snare the explosive forward.

Even though many would fear for the future Wayne Rooney if such a player came in, we can easily imagine Cavani and Robin Van Persie upfront, with Rooney in the hole just behind the two of them, to form a frightening attacking force who could lay waste to the opposition.

Let’s have a look at Cavani in action. Manchester United fans: would this be a worthwhile way to spend the transfer kitty?

Rooney in the hole behind Cavani and van Persie? You must be joking! Mata has to play there as he is a much better and more creative player than Rooney.
Wayne can clear off to Chelsea and cry for more wages there and try and hold them to ransom. Good riddance too.
