Manchester United: David Moyes is on around £4m a year but these fans would do a better job picking the team

We would pick the fans to manage United over Moyes

We can’t tell you exactly how much David Moyes is on at Manchester United. But we can state, with some accuracy, that he was getting £80k a week at Everton. That’s £4m per year. You can’t imagine for a second that he would be getting less at Manchester United.

That’s £4m plus a year to play a 4-4-2 away from home in Europe with two wingers who would currently struggle to get into a championship side. £4m a year to choose Tom Cleverley in the midfield when he’s done absolutely nothing to merit a place in the side. £4m to overlook the formation which not only every other top team uses but which Manchester United, with the players available, is crying out for.

We were very interested to see fan comments just before the game on Tuesday night. The Manchester United team had been announced and the fans took to Twitter to express their dismay at the selections. If they can see it, why are Manchester United paying a guy who can’t see it, to the tune of £4m plus per year? It makes so little sense that it is surely only wounded pride that is keeping the top brass and Sir Alex from sacking the Manchester United manager.

Here is what the fans were saying BEFORE the game:

It’s easy to moan and have all of the answers retrospectively, after a bad result. But the shocking thing about this is that everyone knew before the match that Moyes was picking the wrong Manchester United team.

£4m plus a year to pick the wrong teams, the wrong tactics and formations. We would honestly prefer the fans to pick the team than this guy. It has to be the end for David Moyes at Manchester United.

Why is he still there?…….SAF killing his legacy with his own PRIDE………This will only get worse………Remember by not sacking Frank O’Farrell quick enough in 1972 had us relegated us the following year……Now what Legacy will that be….I will hate to be right……

MU is regressing into a championship club with this clueless mid table manager. Better sack him before he causes more damage to the club. I for one thing had stopped watching MU games since Dec 2013. Not going to watch again and probably stop supporting the club for which I had been a fan for about 40 yrs until this stupid manager is removed from old Trafford.
