Champions League

Manchester United – ‘Cruyff Turn’, ‘Ronaldo stepover’ and ‘The Neville Scoregasm’ for Chelsea

It amazes me that the sports writers of Britain only got as far as the clumsily named ‘goalgasm’ in reference to Gary Neville’s outburst during the Champions League semi final match between Chelsea and Barcelona. Surely, with a little more thought and a little less haste we would have generated the ‘scoregasm’ .

And secondly, what the Dickens was wrong with it anyway?  In some sections of the press, the reaction to the reaction was very cynical. For me it punctuated a memorable night and it will be a sad day if scoregasmic celebrators are hounded out of the game.

It was a great match and Gary gave us a fitting climax,  if you will. Let’s enjoy it again shall we?
