Manchester United: Could fan favourite move?
Manchester United fans will mainly concern themselves with more potential arrivals in the remainder of the transfer window. But with Anderson, Zaha and Fabio already gone will Manchester United allow any more players to leave before the end of January? Here are the contenders.
Nani – he has gone from bad to worse this season after showing only sporadic glimpses of brilliance throughout his time at Manchester United. He can be a matchwinner but, unfortunately for the player, he doesn’t seem to be able to control his genius. If he doesn’t leave now then he will surely go in the summer.
Ashley Young – We are regularly pulled up for berating certain players on a persistent basis. It’s nothing personal of course. But Ashley Young has regularly been the subject of our ire. A decent athlete but not good enough, as a footballer, for Manchester United. We hope that David Moyes sees it the same way because Manchester United need a serious overhaul of their wide men.
Tom Cleverley – you get the feeling that this guy will stick around at Manchester United for some time yet. He looked like he was going to be a super player a couple of years ago but he has never stepped up to the mark and this season he’s been really poor. Anonymous even. Manchester United need characters in the midfield.
Javier Hernandez – the little Mexican has been a fan favourite since he joined the club years back. But every season has been worse than the last for Chicharito. He exploded onto the scene with 20 goals in his first season at Manchester United but has struggled to replicate that form. We think that Manchester United will buy a big striker in the summer and Hernandez looks like the one who could make way for him. The Guardian reported Monaco’s interest in the player on Tuesday:
Monaco have decided that they are striker-strapped following Radamel Falcao’s trip to the knee doctor and are ready to get the cheque book out once again. Top of their striking list is bottom of the Red Devils’ striking list, Javier Hernández.
