Manchester United: Another deal looks close with big hint – report

It’s going to be an interesting last few hours of the transfer window but perhaps not as hectic as many had thought in terms of Manchester United arrivals.

Daley Blind could be the last addition for now and the focus may instead be on departures.

Manchester United have put a few players on the market as LvG streamlines the squad and one player who seems all but gone is Shinji Kagawa.

In an interview German TV Borussia Dortmund player Marco Reus seemed to drop a huge hint that their former star would soon be back in the ranks. He said, post-match:

‘I am sure Kagawa will help us… errr…. would have helped us…’

It’s a really sad end to a Manchester United career that promised so much but just failed to deliver. Kagawa was a technically astute and mobile player who never got a long run in the team and couldn’t find a permanent position, with so many number tens already in the squad.

Manchester United may only get about half of their money back but will also shed another high earner from the wage bill.

Manchester United fans: is this a player that Manchester United should have held on to or at least used as a bargaining tool for a big swap deal?

  1. Mats says:

Should’ve kept him for another season maybe.
But surely he should’ve been used to buy Hummels.

    Chance wasted. :(

    • Drewan Danehal says:

That would be Shinji Kagawa if anybody. Hummels has a contract until 2017 and is happy at Borussia Dortmund; I cant see him moving for a year or two.

man united is in transitional period, we still believed things will be fine so soon. Loosing kagawa is not loose trophies better options are still there. We need to be patience. Goodluck shinji….
