Manchester United: 40m is peanuts for this midfield saviour

Mata - The Enigma

The solution to Manchester United’s midfield malaise would reportedly cost £35m

You don’t need to be a football master to work out that Manchester United desperately need a midfield maestro to pull the strings in the absence of Paul Scholes. Heckers, you don’t even need to follow football to see it. Manchester United are lame in the middle of the park and unless they sort it out this January they could be looking at a protracted spell outside The Champions League places.

David Moyes is hopefully just keeping his cards close to his chest about winter transfers after such a nightmare in the summer window. Publicly, he has remained cautious about the possibility of adding to his squad in January, but surely he’s ready to splurge tens of millions on a solution.

Various newspapers are reporting again today on the potential for Chelsea’s brilliant Juan Mata to leave the club this winter – a fee of around 40m Euros is being mooted. The Special
One seemingly isn’t that enamoured by the player and the Spaniard showed his disdain at being substituted at the weekend – all is not well between Chelsea and Mata.

This guy would surely be a brilliant solution for Manchester United. He’s got unbelievable technique and simply wants to get that ball forward with purpose. His passing range is superb and he scored 20 goals for Chelsea last season.

With PSG apparently lining up a bid the player could well be close to a big move. The big question remains whether Chelsea would be prepared to do business with a direct rival.

But surely David Moyes needs to make a move anyway and find out how far he can go with a deal. Noone thought for a second that RvP would come to Manchester United and a Juan Mata deal would represent a far smaller surprise.

£35m is peanuts for a player who could totally turn around Manchester United’s season. He is exactly the sort of rare attacking midfield talent that Manchester United lack.

United fans, should Moyes pull out all the stops for Juan Mata?

Yeah, and buy another coach while u’r @ it. He already has players like Kagawa and Zaha but for some reason he thinks Cleverly and Young are better!!!!!
