Manchester City fans will be buoyed by the news that, despite the sanctions placed on the club by the FIFA FairPlay committee, Manuel Pellegrini has suggested this week that their transfer business for the summer is not yet complete.

There was talk that Alvaro Negredo might be used to bring in some cash but his injury will put a stop to that idea.

Other players who could leave include, Jack Rodwell, Javi Garcia and Matija Nastasic.

But, whichever way you look at it, Manchester City definitely have players that they can dispose of in order to drum up funds for signings while still balancing the books.

Last summer Manchester City were strongly linked to Isco before he joined Real Madrid. But, having had a really quiet season for the club, Manchester City are reportedly keen to take the lad once more.

Quite where Manchester City would fit the attacking midfielder into a squad which is full of them is anyone’s guess.

But when quality players come along top teams have to be interested and Manchester City will understand the virtues of refreshing the squad each summer.

And City are now favourites with bookmakers Skybet to sign Isco at odds of 13/8 if he does leave the Spanish club this summer.

With players like David Silva and Yaya Toure on the books Isco won’t expect to waltz straight into the Manchester City side. But we do think that he would be an excellent and exciting additionfor the club and for The Premier League next season.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Manchester City fans: luxury or necessity?

What we need is a CB. Isco is a luxury player.

The ones we’ve already signed are proper players.
