We just a few weeks left before the window closes it’s now getting to make or break time for Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.

The Dutchman was right in his post match-analysis after the Valencia game when he called it Manchester United’s worst performance under his tenure.

There was a lack of urgency and creativity in the side and everything was happening too slowly. This simply highlighted the fact that reinforcements are definitely needed before September.

One player who is hotly tipped to come in is Ajax and Holland international Daley Blind.

The Express has reported today that negotiations are ongoing for the player and that, during another summer of protracted transfers at the club, this one is looking good:

Manchester United on verge of £20m Daley Blind deal following positive talks

MANCHESTER UNITED are growing increasingly confident of signing Daley Blind with talks progressing along nicely.

Van Gaal clearly wants to add some left footers to his side with Di Maria and Rojo also targeted.

As well as having the sweetest of left feet Blind also offers the sort of adaptability that the squad currently requires. He can play equally well in several positions and is a really classy performer – the stand out Dutchman at The World Cup alongside Arjen Robben and RvP.

We think this one looks like a goer. Manchester United fans: would this be a good signing?
