Manchester United fans will have watched The World Cup semi-final with mixed emotions.

They would have wanted Holland, with Van Persie and Louis, to win through to the final. But the departure of the Dutch from the tournament also means that transfer matters will now come to a head.

Various high profile signings have been on the lips of Manchester United fans over the last few weeks. But they are also very keen to know which Holland players will join LvG at Manchester United.

We think that as many as six players could join up and we should get news of this pretty imminently now that the new Manchester United boss can concentrate on his latest club.

Here are the Dutch players that we think will realistically join up with Manchester United this summer. While we would love to see Robben join Manchester United we think that the younger players are more likely targets.

Jordy Clasie:

A rich man’s Tom Cleverley, Clasie gave a brilliant performance as a substitute against Argentina.

Unlike Cleverly his only objective seems to be to get the ball forward. He’s got great first touch and is a really velvety player who could definitely become a stalwart in the Manchester United midfield in the coming years. He’s just 23.

Bruno Martins Indi

An excellent squad addition who is a really adaptable defender. He’s tall, powerful, quick and has decent feet. There’s very little not to like about him and we think he could be an excellent utility player for Manchester United.

Stefan de Vrij

Gave a great performance against Argentina. He looked really solid at the back and also brought the ball out of defence in majestic fashion on several occasions. Also has great distribution.

Georginio Wijnaldum

He started against Argentina and although he didn’t have a massive impact on the game everything he did was neat, tidy and incisive. He’s a jet-heeled winger with good ball control – the like of which Manchester United are desperate for.

Let’s have a look at Wijnaldum in action. Manchester United fans: who do you think Van Gaal will bring with him?

Clasie, reminds me so much off Tom Cleverly, about the same height, hair cut, movement and eyes.

David Blind would be a great replacement for the departing Evra. Blind, 22, if required could also play in midfield he would be a great asset. Other Dutch player who impressed me was Memphis Depay and of course Arjen Robben!

I think Robben will be the best choice for man utd since Nani and Ashley Young are out of form last season…but keep the destroyer, Valencia….

Man United management shud not play us lip service by mentioning high profile players on theircwish list only to lose them to opponents!! We dont want to wait for close of thransfer window before we bring in vital signings that we require in the midfield, flanks and back!

I hope Ed will make an inroad for Di Maria as he negotiates with RM. Hurry up as stocks last!
