Liverpool transfers: Midfielder linked and return of The King?

Over the last 24 hours this lad has been all over the news like Jack The Ripper

Over the last 24 hours this lad has been all over the news like Jack The Ripper. Liverpool are reporteldy keen on adding some youth to their increasingly impressive looking squad and have been linked by many outlets to the Ghanaian teenager Daniel Amartey.

The midfielder stroke defender stroke genius has scored 22 goals in 28 game in the Swedish league this season even though he’s not a striker – remarkable. German sides are also apparently interested but you could easily imagine Brendan Rodgers scooping up this talented youngster.

Meanwhile The Guardian today talks up the prospect of The King of The Pass, Xabi Alonso, returning to The Premier League. At 31 there is still lead in his pencil and you could imagine his service coming in particularly handy in this highly mobile squad that Liverpool are assembling. The Guardian states that other clubs are also interested.

The Reds are also readying for a three-way (at least) tussle for their former midfielder Xabi Alonso, whose contract with Real Madrid is tick-tocking towards its conclusion.

Out of contract at the end of the season, Chelsea and Juventus are also said to be keen. But, after such a stellar time at Liverpool, surely he would look to renew acquaintance with The Kop if he did decide to come back to England. Right?

Liverpool fans, could Alonso still add something to your midfield?

Whilst you are a-pondering that let’s have a look at Daniel Amartey.
