Liverpool keen on wing wizard – report
Liverpool did seem keen on a move for Alexis Sanchez and reports suggested that they wanted him as part of a swap deal involving Luis Suarez.
But recent reports suggest that the player prefers a move to Arsenal – as lots of foreign players coming to England seem to like the idea of London.
And we beleive that Liverpool may be doing even better business if they press ahead for their next reported target, Lazar Markovic.
The Benfica player has been on fire for the last year scoring goals and creating innumerable assists for teammates.
Even though he’s just 20 years of age he already looks like an excellent player who will only improve with time. But he already seems so relaxed on the ball and has a consistent delivery and the priceless ability to beat a man. The Daily Mail reckons that Liverpool are already to closing in on the lad:
Liverpool have activated Lazar Markovic’s £20million release clause as they move closer to completing a deal for the Benfica winger.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to spend the £63m he will recuperate from the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona and he is nearing adding Markovic to his squad.
The BBC embellishes that by saying:
Liverpool have agreed a deal with Lille for Belgium striker Divock Origi and are in advanced talks to sign Serbia winger Lazar Markovic from Benfica.
Liverpool need more quality in the wider areas and the squad is looking so much stronger already with the summer additions. Markovic looks like a modern winger in as much as he can operate in several positions. He’s the type that can make things happen in tight games and, at very least, be a brilliant impact player to come off the bench next season and exploit tired legs while he continues to learn his trade.
If Liverpool can add Markovich to their side they will surely be competitive in The Champions League and have more strength in the final furlongs of a title push next season.
Let’s have a look at the brilliant Markovic in action. Liverpool fans: would you be happy to get Markovic instead of Sanchez?
