Incredible: Manchester United agree shock deal for World Class goal machine on deadline day bonanza according to journalist?

There is a swirl of rumour going around that the big deal on transfer deadline day could be for Radamel Falcao.

The BBC confirmed on Monday morning:

Manchester United have agreed to sign Colombia striker Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco, subject to a medical.

The 28-year-old has been linked throughout the summer with a move away from the French Ligue 1 side, who he joined for £50m in May 2013.

Last night The Guardian suggested that it was a two horse trace between Arsenal and Manchester City for the services of El Tigre but there have been suggestions through the week that Manchester United would add some real edge to their attack with the signing of the superb Colombian. The Express reckons that United were expected to sign the player but that City have entered the fray of late.

MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal’s pursuits of Radamel Falcao have hit a deadline-day stumbling block as rivals City enter the race to bag the Monaco forward – so long as the Premier League champions offload Alvaro Negredo.

United looked set to land Falcao, 28, before tomorrow’s deadline but reports are emerging that Manuel Pellegrini is preparing to hijack the move with a huge bid for the Colombia international.

DirecTV’s Saris Bello, who is a known friend of the player, Tweeted at 02:37 this morning that a deal has been done for the player to go to Manchester United saying:

@FALCAO came to an agreement with Manchester United. It will be official in the next hours, he will be traveling in the morning and (1/2)

ManUnited bought @FALCAO for 65M Euros, he will be playing for 4 seasons and will be the player best payed in the Premier League (2/2)

It’s going to be a Battle Royal for the player but certainly he would add pace and explosiveness to United’s front line and, with the likes of Di Maria, Rooney and RvP to complement him, noone would really care about the defence anymore as the focus would well and truly be on scoring more than the opposition.

This may also be why Manchester United seem keen to offload Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck this summer. It’s all hearsay at the moment. But watch this space for updates throughout the day.

Rumours just. However, i would be happiest if he came to ManU. We need more in attack. Defence will be fine but our attack is very weak. Rooney is toothless these days and RVP needs to regain shape.

it a lie man u wil not sign falcao. Man u dont have sence

  4. Meshack mogaru says:

Falcao a good player but to me thus a waste of money,, upfront man utd beta stocked, our major adress is defensive cover most notably md. We lack mdf who can tackle, play the ball and move forward,, vidal or de jong. Buying falcao at €65m, 28yrs doesnt make any sense,, use the cash elsewhere, defender and 2 md players. You go to a market, yu have 3 pairs of shoes agnst 1 old socks back home, then u add another shoes insteady of buying a socks,, thus what utd is doing,,

  6. Michael says:

he is a good player but is not wise paying such amount for a 28 yr.if we can get him on loan i believe Hanandez will come back stronger from Madrid next season.martinez was available from porto, and no 9 is not our problem.Valencia is a good player butt he need to Work on his crosses or we buy a better player in his possition.Raffel is injuryed and can’t play always
