How Chelsea could line up with latest reported targets
Jose Mourinho has made some great buys for Chelsea this summer already but we think that’s just the start of their summer activity.
In selling players like David Luiz and Juan Mata Chelsea have not only cleared the decks in terms of personnel but also balanced the books with regards FIFA Fair Play regulations.
These sales should give Chelsea some clout in the transfer market even though they’ve already spent quite heavily.
There could be further sales in the summer with the futures of Petr Cech, in particular, in doubt due to the impending arrival of brilliant Belgian stopper Thibaut Coirtois, who has been on a hugely successful loan spell at La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
Reports on Thursday suggested that Chelsea could sign three players from Atletico Madrid and we still think that they will buy another striker as well as Diego Costa.
Dozens have been mentioned in terms of new centre forwards and Mourinho’s utterances in February, with regards striker signings, seemed to suggest that a really stellar target would com in – bigger even than Costa.
So let’s have a look at how Chelsea could line up come August if they do sign some of these reported targets. Chelsea fans: let us know your thoughts on this team.
Chelsea: (4-2-3-1) – Courtois, Azpilicueta, Miranda, Ivanovic, Filipe Luis – Matic, Khedira – Hazard, Oscar, Willian – Falcao
Let’s see Falcao in action. Chelsea fans: can you see another top striker coming in aswell as Diego Costa?
