Everton want strike sensation – report

Big interest in this dazzler

We all know that Romelu Lukaku may leave the club in June. And we all know that, regardless of The Belgian’s movements, Everton need to bolster the attack – it’s an area which needs serious attention over the summer.

Roberto Martinez loves to play a swift counter attacking style so perhaps he will opt to add pace to the front line in the close-season. To that end, one of the latest players to be linked to the club is Liverpool and Arsenal target Josip Drmic. This poor guy is being passed around the back pages and rumours mills like badly rolled joint right now.

But he does look like a really exciting talent and The Star says today:

LIVERPOOL and Everton have joined the race for £8m Swiss starlet Josip Drmic.

The Merseyside duo are ready to rival Arsenal for Nuremberg striker Drmic, 21.

The report then goes on to quote the player who says:

“What will happen in the future, I don’t know. Any boy dreams about playing for Arsenal”

Just to set the record straight I quite fancied playing for Wrexham as a child. So please quit with your ‘any boy’ quotes already.

But anyway, Everton are said to be keen and the lad looks full o’ goals. He’s got 16 goals in just 27 games for 1. FC Nürnberg. And, such has been the impact of the lad at club level, that he has already turned out 5 times as a full international for Switzerland despite his tender age of 21. And yes, you’ve guessed it, he’s scored for them too. 2 goals so far.

Liverpool and Arsenal may have more bargaining stroke financial power if they are seriously interested but ANY BOY would surely listen to what Everton’s visionary boss Ronerto Martinez would have to say.

Let’s see the Swiss in action. Everton fans – keen?
