Another middle man

Fresh from news of Everton’s successful bid for Gareth Barry, the club has reportedly launched a bid for another midfield player.

Roberto Martinez clearly spent his summer wisely by taking in some games at The World Cup in order to try to snare some bargains for Everton.

And The Daily Mail reckons that he has made an offer for in demand Bosnia midfielder Muhamed Besic.

Everton have made a bid to rival Swansea and West Ham for Muhamed Besic of Ferencvaros.

Manager Roberto Martinez has offered £2.5m plus add ons for the 21-year-old Bosnian midfielder who impressed at the World Cup.

West Ham are also supposedly interested but some areas of the media are suggesting that a deal has already been agreed for him to join Everton and Wikipedia reckons he’s an Everton player.

The Mirror says:

The 21-year-old midfielder is set to complete a £4million move to the Europa League-bound Goodison club from Ferencvaros of Hungary

Having already played for Ferencvaros and Hamburg Besic is a man of some experience despite his tender age. He’s not a goal scorer but someone who has a great engine, decent mobility and a player who takes care of the ball.

At the reported fee he looks like he could be a low risk bargain who will recoup his fee even if he fails to impress at Everton.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Everton fans would this addition see the end of your midfield business for the summer?
