A massive game for both teams. Cardiff have and a recent upturn in fortunes after the initially poor run of results under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They are fighting to maintain their newfound Premier League status beyond the first season and will not provide accommodating opposition for Liverpool today.
As for Liverpool they are battling at the other end of the table and, for the first time in 5 years, they have a realistic chance of winning the title come spring. In fact, right now, Liverpool look like the most convincing team in The Premier League. They ground out results at the start of the season but now they are in full flow and demolishing opponents on a regular basis – especially at home where it has become question, not of whether they will win, but by how many.
So both teams will be going hell for leather and while Cardiff will be optimistic going into the game, Liverpool’s ruthless counter attacking could be prove undoing.
