Chelsea: The 5 strikers at shortest odds to join in Jan

GH

Will Chelsea bring in a hit man in Jan?

And my word it makes some reading. We all know that Chelsea aren’t scared to splash the cash in aid of trophies. Jaws have regularly dropped since Roman came in and began to regularly conclude mega deals in the blink of an eyelid.

While Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has told reporters that he isn’t buying a forward in Jan “A striker, 100%, no,” the bookmakers aren’t so sure and we also have our doubts. It’s not that we don’t believe Jose. It’s just that the world of football can change so quickly and Chelsea appear short on goals from the front men. Here are the 5 players at the top of the list with Bet Victor to join Chelsea before the end of the current window.

Radamel Falcao 4/1

Only joined Monaco last summer and has 9 in 15 games for the club. Yet the rumours persist that Chelsea want to make a move. Shevchenko and Torres have proven that Chelsea can be a hard place to score goals. But you would have to back this guy to come good at The Bridge – pure class.

Gonzalo Higuain 4/1

Broadsheet reports suggested that Chelsea made a bid for the Argentinian last week. He’s also just signed for his new club and has done brilliantly so far. But may fancy a move to the most competitive league in the world.

Mario Balotelli 6/1

Some say he’s enigmatic. Others think of Balotelli as an enfant terrible but he’s done brilliantly in his second stint in Italy and Mourinho knows the player well from his time at Inter.

Hulk 8/1

Longer odds than the others but we think that this guy fits the Mourinho mould perfectly. He’s got a deft touch but the power of a bull. We would absolutely love to see him in England.

Karim Benzema 8/1

Scored loads of goals for Real (64 in 141) but still draws polemic responses from the fans. We think that he’s more suited to Arsenal and would be surprised if Mourinho went for him.

Chelsea fans – do you think Jose will buy a striker in January? If so, who would you most like to see at the Bridge come Feb?
