Chelsea now favourites to sign £50m striker with bookmaker

Players regularly get overrated by the media – not this one.

It’s probably the worst kept secret in football that Chelsea are looking to sign another striker.

They have so many good players in the squad but it seems to be commonly agreed that they still need another top finisher to complete the jigsaw for Jose Mourinho.

Every top striker in the world seems to get linked with Chelsea these days but one who has been persistently connected with the club Radamel Falcao.

We reported earlier in the week about how he might be unsettled at Monaco and could leave just months after joining the club for around £60m.

Since that news broke Chelsea’s odds have shortened with bookmakers Skybet and they are favourites to get his signature in the winter window.

Earlier today he was quoted in The Metro as saying:

‘Would I like to play in the Premier League? It’s one of the most important leagues in the world.’

This guy is a natural born finisher and would surely profit from the amazing service that Chelsea’s midfield provides. Fernando Torres hasn’t really been doing the business while Demba Ba looks like he’s on his way out of the club.

Skybet now have Falcao at 6/1 to join Chelsea in January. It may well be one to get your money on.

Let’s have another look at Falcao in action. Chelsea fans is this the man for the job or would you rather see another striker join in the winter?
