Cardiff have had a baptism of fire into The Premier League. The highlight so far has undoubtedly been the defeat of Manchester City but the huge games are coming thick and fast. This weekend Cardiff face the other Manchester giants, hoping to repeat the trick.

They have shown some real pluck but Cardiff sit just two points off the relegation some and will surely look to strengthen in the winter window if they really want to retain their Premier League status.

One of the most important qualities of a Premier League side is pace. You need players with it. Lots of it. Teams that have a couple of frighteningly quick athletes have an added outlet when the going gets tough – one or two players who can carry the ball away from danger and relieve the pressure on the defence.

Well, The Guardian today suggests that Cardiff are in for just such a player. Again.

Tom Ince has looked ready for a move to the big time for at least year but a transfer hasn’t quite materialised. He turned down Cardiff in the summer but perhaps he’s now ready for a change. He’s quick, getting stronger and has a lovely delivery on him – all in all he would be a fine acquisition and exciting signing for Cardiff.

Another player who has been linked for some time is Wilfired Zaha. The Manchester United winger has inexplicably been omitted from virtually all the action at United this season despite the under par performances of the more established right wingers.

Zaha would be a marvellous loan signing for the club – working in tandem with Ince, Cardiff would be giving themselves the sort of short-term facelift that could bring them Premier League safety.

Let’s see Ince in action. Cardiff fans would you be pleased to bring in these youngsters or should you be concentrating on signing established stars?
