Best players that Jurgen Klopp could bring to Manchester United

Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has gone on record to intimate that he is not particularly interested in taking the Manchester United job right now.

“Man Utd is a great club and I feel very familiar with their wonderful fans. But my commitment to Borussia Dortmund and the people is not breakable.”

But the Manchester Evening News suggested that this won’t stop the club from including him on their shortlist of potential replacements for David Moyes.

MEN Sport understands the Reds will not give up on any potential targets yet – despite Borussia Dortmund’s double Bundesliga winner Jurgen Klopp and Bayern Munich’s two-time Champions League winner Pep Guardiola already publicly ruling themselves out of the running.

We think that Klopp would be the perfect manager for Manchester United. He’s a modern man with modern ideas and his team plays the game beautifully.

His Borussia Dortmund side presses the ball high up the pitch with when they aren’t in possession and play even higher up when they are.

It’s the sort of swashbuckling, intrepid style of football that Manchester United became accustomed to under sir Alex Ferguson and so missed under David Moyes.

All power to Klopp for showing such loyalty to his current club but if he did come to Manchester United who might he bring with him?

Marco Reus – He should be the obvious first target for Manchester United if Klopp did turn up at the club. A forward of real grace and class Marco Reus is a goalscoring winger who can also play in the midfield. A decent World Cup and his value will rocket still further so Manchester United would want to get in early.

Ilkay Gundogan – he has just signed a new contract with the German club but if one man could get him to Manchester United it would surely be Klopp.

Mats Hummels – Manchester United seriously need another central defender and Mats Hummels is one of the best in Europe. Capped 28 times for Germany. At 25 he’s mustard.

Manchester United fans – would the highly sought after Klopp be your number one choice as manager of Manchester United?
