Barcelona odds on favourites to sign ex-La Liga ace

Most of the transfer talk surrounding Barcelona of late has been about the potential signing of a certain Uruguayan who has been making all the headlines of late. You may or may not have heard of him!

But his future is very much up in the air and it’s anyone’s guess who he will be playing for once his ban ends in November.

We think that Barcelona would be taking a risk if they did sign him and perhaps the club are more aware of this than we think.

Because despite the Luis to Barcelona hype, bookmakers in England still have another reported striker target as odds on to join Barca this summer.

Over the last couple of weeks we have spoon about Barcelona’s apparent interest in Napoli man Gonzalo Higuain. He may not be quite the player Luis is but he’s a top professional who has never put a foot out of place on or off the pitch.

He’s also a prolific striker who could well fit perfectly into Barcelona and probably cost half the money.

And despite all the hype around a mega bid for The Uruguayan, Higuain is odds on with Bet Victor to join Barcelona if he moves this summer, at odds of 1/2.

Reading your comments on soccersweep it seems that you still want Luis. But we think that Higuain could be similarly effective and represent a much lower risk gamble.

Let’s see the lad in action. Barcelona fans: would you be happy to take The Argentinian instead?
