With the deal for Ivan Rakitic seemingly close Barcelona will now look to strengthen other areas of their squad.

There has been speculation that Alexi Sanchez could move on from Barcelona this summer and a rumoured replacement of brilliant winger is Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus.

The 24-year-old flyer was cruelly injured on the eve of the World Cup and won’t to take any further part this summer.

But that won’t stop the transfer rumours intensifying about Barcelona’s move for one of the best players in Germany.

The British radio station Talksport has gone as far today as to say that personal terms have been agreed between Barcelona and the player:

Barcelona have reached an agreement with long-standing Manchester United target Marco Reus and will present an opening offer of £28m to Borussia Dortmund, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.

Sport claim Barca have already reached a verbal agreement with the 25-year-old, who was recently ruled out of the World Cup after suffering an ankle injury during Germany’s friendly match against Armenia.

Even though Dortmund have publicly stated that the player is not for sale that probably won’t stop Barcelona from pursuing the idea of a transfer.

We have absolutely no doubt about Reus being a success at Barcelona. He’s a flying winger who can play in various positions and would suit the adaptable Barcelona formation brilliantly.

He’s very two footed, has great pace and scores loads of goals (30 in 62 league games for Dortmund).

Reus is one of those players that doesn’t seem to touch the ground when he runs – he’s that light on his feet.

No transfer for a top player is ever straightforward but if Barcelona want this guy then they will need to put in a big offer because they won’t be the only interested party.

Let’s have a look at the German international in action. Barcelona fans: would this be the perfect signing?

Barcelona should not relent in the transfer talk of Marco Reus, because we need that frontline to be firing. Cauldrado and Arda Turan are also needed in the team. We know that, that of Avan Rakitic is a done deal. I love FCB.
