Arsenal and Liverpool both seem as if they want to strengthen in the attacking areas during the winter. Both have been linked to innumerable players over January and, now that we are at the business end of the window, deals should be done in high volume.

One player whose name has been linked to Arsenal and Liverpool, among others, is Barcelona prodigy Christian Tello.

The Telegraph today states that Arsenal are trying to do a last minute deal for the player.

They say:

Negotiations over Draxler were progressing well on Wednesday night and Arsenal are also poised to make a bid to land Cristian Tello on loan from Barcelona after Aaron Ramsey suffered an injury setback.

Tello is a quite beautiful player who would certainly add a dimension to Liverpool and Arsenal’s squads as they both look to challenge the scary Manchester City for the title.

But the 22 year old just hasn’t been getting enough game time in Barcelona. He’s played 76 times since his senior debut in 2011 – scoring a creditable 19 goals in the process.

Whether or not he stays at Barcelona long-term he looks as if he needs to get some matches under his belt on a regular basis. Arsenal could probably offer him some game time in the wider areas, particularly in the absence of Theo Walcott.

Despite Arsenal reportedly making moves to sign the player Liverpool are clear favourites with bookmakers Bet Victor for his signature at odds of 1/5. Arsenala re out at 4/1.

Someone is going to to get a bargain if Tello doe smoke in this window. Let’s see the lad in action. Would you want him at your club?
