So, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told the press that a deal for Julian Draxler is now highly unlikely in this transfer window:

“Draxler deal is not active. Anti-climax? I don’t know what a climax is.”

What? never mind that Arsene. What happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom mate.

The Arsenal manager did give the fans hope so by suggesting that the deal was 80% likely to happen today.

A name that has recently been thrown into the hat as a possible Arsenal alternative is German legend Miroslav Klose. The 130 cap German international is 35 years young but still banging them in for fun in Italy with Lazio. He has 33 goals in 69 appearances for the club. This is clearly a guy who looks after himself but let us not forget that he is playing in a much slower league. Would he be able to cope with the pace of The Premier League?

Regardless of that we think Arsenal need to bring somebody in and this guy could definitely do a job when others are injured or rested.

The Metro reported this morning that Arsenal may be ready to make a move for the striker:

Arsenal’s hopes of landing Julian Draxler on deadline day hang in the balance – with widespread reports they’ve reached deadlock with Schalke over the fee – so Miroslav Klose is now being linked with a move to the Emirates.

And vastly experienced Germany striker Klose is reportedly a prime target for a loan move from Lazio, though at 35 he is very much a short-term option.

It would definitely do no harm for Arsenal to acquire the player on a short term basis. We wanted to say this for a long time and now we think the right moment is upon us. So…

Mooooooove Klose! Move your body real close (sung)

Arsenal fans would you like to see this German legend join the club in the short term?
