Arsenal Megadeal Still On – report

Arsene-Wenger

Get it done

Now that the World Cup is over transfer speculation is going to reach fever pitch as the big guns assemble their squads for the new season.

One player who is clearly going to draw the interest of the English elite proved himself beyond all doubt at The World Cup after sustaining a serious injury last season.

That is of course Sami Khedira and Arsenal seem to be hot favourites for his signature, although the name of Chelsea has also been floating around ominously in the last few days.

The Blues tend to do their transfer business very quickly and decisively so Arsenal should beware.

Depending on which reports you read today it appears that Arsenal are closing in on their ideal player, regardless of his lofty wage demands.

The Daily Mail says

Sami Khedira in line for £20million Arsenal move as Arsene Wenger looks to spend big

Let’s be very clear on this one. Arsenal have been desperate for exactly this type of player for years.

We all know that Arsene Wenger likes to get value for money in the transfer market and that’s a credit to him.

But letting this one slip because of a few million in fees or a few thousand a week in wage demands could be one of the biggest mistakes Arsenal ever make.

Because they’re on the cusp of breaking through that glass ceiling and Khedira could definitely take them over the line.

If Arsenal let Chelsea nick in for Khedira it would be devastating for the club so this one just has to get done ASAP.

Let’s see Khedira in action. Arsenal fans: is the perfect summer addition?

@Steve, what an arsehole you really are! Unbelievable! I’m surprised your type are still hanging around The Arsenal. Thought you all would have moved on to Chelsea or Man City or Man u or even turn yourselves into spuds! Pathetic.

If the reported 200 grand wage per week demand is correct, then they can keep him. No defensive midfielder is worth that sort of money. Especially after they spent most of the previous season out injured.

As for Steve, mate you are an “online knucklehead”.

I would prefer Bender or schneiderlin instead of khedira. Its not a big deal to sign him for with his huge weekly wage but that would create a drastic problem in our squad, because Ozil Sanchez Ramsey all have their weekly wage around the 150k mark,so signing khedira for whatever fee(that is not an issue) and giving him the wage he demands will definately hamper the unity of the team.So its better off without this greedy player (N.B. i still wonder how on earth he demands salary more than his compatriot teammate Ozil :S)

Words fail me to comment on Khedira’s wage demands. Still can’t get my head around it. I just want to believe he’s not demanding such. But if we can get him, with sanchez and debuchy already on board, I don’t care what others clubs do. @Steve, you must be on some cheap drugs.
