If only we had a communal crystal ball we need wouldn’t to bother with all this speculation. But that would be less fun wouldn’t it? Noone, even Arsene Wenger, seemingly knows who the club will sign to bolster their striking department. The Morata story has gone cold after some media outlets professed that a deal was close.

We at soccersweep have put Berbatov forward as a possible addition in the last few days. That deal maybe fraught with arch-rival shaped obstacles but he is a feasible option for Arsenal.

Another name that has littered the Arsenal rumour mills over the last year or so is Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema. There is no official word to suggest that the brilliant Frenchman will be leaving his current club any time soon. Yet the speculation persists that Arsene Wenger is going to try to sign him in January.

The Guardian today says:

Arsenal’s search for a striker to bolster attack in the second half of the season has taken them to the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, where Arsène Wenger is pouting coquettishly in the direction of 25-year-old France striker Karim Benzema.

SkyBet still have Arsenal as favourites for his signature at 8/1 and, make no mistake, this guy is a heavyweight performer. He may not be adored by the Real Madrid faithful like some other stars of past and present but he has still scored a goal every other game during his time there.

If Arsenal could somehow manage to sign Benzema during the winter window they would have a stellar addition to their squad – we would then be talking about Giroud as backup rather than first choice in the team.

Arsenal fans, do you think that the Frenchman is the answer for the title charge?

Wenger will not any player so long Wenger team is winning.Arsene Wenger is a like tortoise that is if you don’t put fire on his back,he will not move.He signs players only when his team is not winning.Wenger is playing with fire by not searching for high calibre player.
As an arsenal fan,I am pessimistic that we can win the epl if we don’t strengthen during this coming transfer window.
    Thanks,
    Issiaga

I think Wenger should go in for Dzeko or Lewandosky rather than Morata, which i think is imatured for the league
