Arsenal linked with huge overhaul with international quartet targeted by Wenger – report

Quartet linked

Arsenal will surely look to spend a decent amount of casheesh this summer.

We think that they should go for one or two top class players as they already have a decent squad but need a bit of additional fairy dust.

The Guardian reports that Arsenal are after four players this summer as part of their push to break through that glass ceiling and have a real go at the title next year.

The consistently excellent Calum Chambers is the one receiving a bit of love today. Arsenal want him as a replacement for Bacary Sagna, as part of a determined push for the dizzy heights of fourth place next season, which will involve the additional signings of Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic, the aforementioned Cleverley and Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann.

You can easily imagine German striker Mandzukic doing a job up front for Arsenal and making a difference in the tight games. He’s big and powerful but has great feet and a brilliant goals to games ratio. If we have a reservation it’s that he lacks true pace. We would go for a flyer up front if we had the Arsenal war chest at our disposal.

Griezmann is a young winger/forward ho has scored 52 goals in 198 games since he got in the first team at Real Sociedad in 2009. At 23 he is highly sought after and would definitely be worth a shout.

Chambers has been spoken a lot about and is supposedly one of the best players to come from an incredible production line of Southampton talent. Carl Jenkinson is starting to reach maturity now and perhaps these two together would provide enough quality in the right back position even if Sagna leaves.

As for Tom Cleverley – well having watched him play at Manchester United many times now he’s never taken a game by the scruff of the neck.

Perhaps Wenger likes his technical ability. But we aren’t sure that he is better than, or even necessarily as good as, the midfielders that Arsenal already possess.

Arsenal fans would you be happy to start next season with these four additions in total?

He has to overhaul his tactics as well.RM have beaten BM.Though the germans had greater possession ,they lost. Arsenal play in a similar style but as soon the gunner attack breaks down,a speedy attack by the other side will result in the gunners net.
It has happened in the big games and will happen until Wenger realises it’s naïve to pass all day.

Thumbs up for Mandzukic and Griezmann. Unsure about Chambers. But for “the not so clever” Cleverley?
Ghoz, we’ve bunch of his quality at our reverse team. There is much better option in the market, and it’s free. He’s Wolfsburg ( on loan for Atletico) Diego Ribas.

Wenger needs to buy a lot more than four quality players, Cleverly isn’t one of them. Every season we get caught out when players get injured and we don’t have players of sufficient quality to replace them it has to be addressed, Wenger has the money he must spend it, I love Arsenal and I love Wenger as manager but I’m so sick of groundhog day every season, we must have high quality cover and rotate players.

The idea of having more players will assist the team when other players are injured.
That means Arsene Wenger need to buy some good and quality players, I do not think they must be an execuse from Arsene Wenger again, the Director says, they always ask Wenger to spent, so this year if he do not buy players, we will know already where the problem is coming from. They will be so many games especial during christmas holidays. So Wenger must do his business early instead of doing business of transfer last minute. He has been in his job for quite a number of years, so to come with an execuse again, will be an insult to supporters.
