Arsenal

Arsenal linked with a perfect signing

Superb wide man linked

We don’t use the term ‘perfect’ lightly. Many expect Arsenal to strengthen up front over the summer with some heavyweight signings to make the difference in big games.

But the other area of potential concern is at right back, where the future of the highly consistent Bacary Sagna is the subject of some debate. At 31 the Frenchman may be looking for one last huge pay check, perhaps from the new money of PSG or Monaco. It’s not like he’s badly paid at Arsenal but perhaps he wants that extra yacht in his retirement.

Anyway, if he does leave Arsenal have Carl Jenkinson to come in. Keiran Gibbs has proven his worth on the other side this season and Jenkinson would look to follow suit. But Arsenal may look to bolster with a more experienced right back in the short to medium term. The latest reports suggest that they have the perfect replacement in their sights.

The Metro says:

Arsenal have made signing Borussia Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek their priority if Bacary Sagna leaves at the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger still hopes Sagna will sign up to the future, but he is planning for life if the player leaves, with Dortmund ace Piszczek now a top target.

This guy is a brilliant player. He manages to balance defending and attacking in a way that few full backs can. He’s tenacious in the tackle and full of energy. But, going forward he’s got a magic touch and a better delivery than most conventional wingers.

With Arsenal, like so many other top teams, playing 4-3-3 and other more narrow formations these days the value of the marauding full back is greater than ever. This guy is one of the best and might even offer better service than the excellent Sagna.

Let’s stake a look at the lad in action. CLICK FOR Piszczek

The only way for Jenkinson to get better is by playing more games, if Sagna is leaving i would start playing Jenkinson a little bit more ,even if its only for 45 minutes per game but he needs to get the experience because i know he is a great player……just need his confidence
