Arsenal: Raw Power, Pace, Precision. Bulldozer linked – most likely winter transfer?

Raw Power

Oh how we would like to see Arsenal break through their glass ceiling. As we approach the next load of league fixtures it looks pretty straightforward. Hull – win. Sunderland – win. Burnley – win. Swansea – win. Then Manchester United. And even though The Red Devils are in a transitional period, and the game is at The Emirates, you can’t say with any confidence that The Gunners will take a point, let alone three.

Arsenal do need more depth up top and reports today suggest that they could be looking at a player who would most certainly offer something different.

Emmanuel Emenike was linked to Chelsea over the summer but a deal didn’t come off. It’s easy to see why they liked him however. He has many of the same attributes as Didier Drogba. The 27 year old is strong as an ox and pretty quick. But he also has lovely feet and the sort of deft touch which could make him a hit at a really top club.

He’s currently at Fenerbahce in Turkey and he’s absolutely on fire this season with 12 in 28 games and 9 assists to boot. He’s got all the qualities for a top number 9 but he’s an infectious character with Rooneyesque enthusiasm and pops up all over the pitch, as the clip below suggests.

You may say that he has similar qualities to fellow new signing Danny Welbeck. But we think that Emenike’s got more strength and precision in front of goal than the Englishman.

Let’s take a look at some of his better moments. Arsenal fans: could he add to the attacking line or are you looking for a real A-lister to come in next?
