Arsenal now bookie favourites to sign brilliant midfielder

Most onlookers believe that if Arsenal are going to strengthen their squad over the winter then they need to focus on signing another striker.

Rumours have been flying around over the last few days about Arsenal signing Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata on a loan deal until the end of the season.

That would certainly add quality to their front line and could prove to be the perfect deal. As we all know, it’s very hard to sign major players in the January transfer window, so a loan deal could well be the way forward for Arsenal in the short term.

But Arsenal also continue to be linked with midfielders. Despite bringing in Mesut Ozil and having one of the best midfield lines in Europe rumours persist about Arsene Wenger wanting more. One of those links is with Julian Draxler of Schalke.

The 20-year-old is certainly hot property and Arsenal will have serious competition for his signature. Nevertheless SkyBet have installed Arsenal as favourites to sign the player in the winter window. Whether or not they will pull out all the stops to sign a midfield player in January remains to be seen. But Arsenal are at the short price of 3/1 with SkyBet to make their move.

They are clear favourites with the bookie to sign the player in January. So let’s see what he’s got by looking at him in action. Arsenal fans would you be happy spending around 30 million quid on an attacking midfielder in January or do you need to concentrate on getting more strikers to the club?
