Little wizard

Some might find this a ridiculous suggestion but we think that this could be a make or break season for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal finally won a major trophy last season, after a long barren spell, but the FA Cup is not going to sustain the Arsenal fans or board forever.

Money is obviously available to spend for Arsene Wenger to make serious reinforcements this summer and have a real tilt at the title.

And while the business for Alexis Sanchez was excellent Arsenal do have greater needs.

A defensive midfielder and another and striker would be on our list but Mr.Wenger seems to be thinking differently as usual.

If reports are to be believed he’s tracking yet another attacking midfielder. Reports suggest that he’s actually made an offer for one.

This time it’s Brazilian starlet Firmino who scored 16 goals in the Bundesliga last season for Hoffenheim.

The Express says:It is believed that

Arsenal have made contact with Hoffenheim over a move, but that their offer falls short of the German’s valuation of the player.

But it seems that Arsene Wenger’s desire to add another midfielder led the Gunners to put in a speculative offer for Firmino.

You can’t beat the signing of a young talent whose potential is hard to put a cap on. Players like Fabregas were an absolute joy to watch at Arsenal as they improved in front of our eyes on a weekly basis.

But Arsenal have just over a month left in the window and surely they have to concentrate on buying a midfield general? That doesn’t mean they can’t buy players like Firmino. But noone wants a last day scramble like last season at Arsenal. What they do want is tangible progress. Surely that means the addition of a combative midfielder?

Let’s see Firmino in action. Arsenal fans: luxury or necessity signing?

Watched him occasionally on the Bundesliga. Also checked him on YouTube. Not easy to tell but he looks a really good one. Very technical, full of trickery, but also strong. Looks more of a striker than a midfield player. He’s you and will improve. He is definitely worth a punt.

bonaroca:- I am very sorry to say that I do not agree in getting another midfielder, I am for a striker and in my opinion Campbell should be given his chance. What Arsenal need a holding defensive player, as a cover for the experienced, steady
Merk who admittedly is a bit slow, luckily he has Koch to cover up.

It seems to me that Mr Wenger is obsessed with young talented wiskids, but then
in my opinion he is scared stiff to give them some experience with the senior side.
