Arsenal

Arsenal are ‘now serious contenders’

Ahh another beautiful weekend of Premier League football. Manchester United were dreadful yet still won. Liverpool were valiant but lost. And, perhaps most significantly, Arsenal updated their status on title racebook from ‘it’s complicated’ to ‘now serious contenders’.

For the last five years Arsenal have looked good for periods but, especially in big games, their defence has been more annoying than that stupid shouty tool of a man on the Ladbrokes adverts. Actually, less annoying than that. But still very annoying. At any rate, it does finally look as if it’s GAME ON for Arsenal.

Arsenal went to Manchester City yesterday and showed that, at last, they may have the mettle to go with the flair. Gervinho’s feet may be on smack but, that apart, Arsenal now look like the real deal again. Ramsey was superb. Jenkinson is coming of age. And Cazorla is the nuts. Is this vindication at last for Wenger? Can this team really challenge? And did he get that coat out of a skip? Possibly, probably and surely.

Well done Arsene. You have built the best stadium in the country, broken even and now you are doing the business with the squad once more. Another stern challenge lies ahead this weekend when Arsenal host Chelsea. But they will enter the game with more confidence than at any time in the last few years.

Before that, it’s the losers’ cup and Arsenal have a home tie against Coventry on Wednesday eve. This game features in our midweek pools predictor. At the weekend we got 8 out of 10 correct outcomes and were so very close to scooping £5.5k from just one solitary pound sterling. It was so exciting that I think I gave myself piles.

Anyway, click on the William Hill banner above, open an account and have a crack on the soccersweep pools predictor. It’s sure as shizzle more fun than playing the lottery. Obviously the losers’ cup is sometimes a bit of a difficult one to call as the big teams tend to rest their major stars, but there are still some rich pickings in the early rounds.

Good luck my lovelies!

We still need a right footed clinical striker to make us a contender.we are lackin in d final third using gervinho as our right footed striker.bendnter will have been a better choice in d attack, since he is a right footed striker.wenger needs to buy a right footed striker in january.we are still goals short in d final third due to nt having a right footed striker.arteta should be given d chance to support d attack more.
