AC Milan are reportedly prepared to sell Mario Balotelli to Arsenal if the North London team are willing to allow Joel Campbell to move in the other direction.

The Express reports that the Italian club are highly interested in the youngster, with manager Filippo Inzaghi wanting to bring him to the club.

AC MILAN are ready to offer Mario Balotelli to Arsenal to land Costa Rica star Joel Campbell.

A deal seeing Balotelli move to The Emirates has already been proposed during the summer. However, if Campbell is offered in part exchange the same source suggests that Arsene Wenger might only have to part with £8 million to land the highly rated striker.

Joel Campbell has an uncertain future at Arsenal. Since joining from Saprissa in 2011, he has yet to play a game for the club. With the 22-year-old failing to secure a work permit to play in England, Wenger was forced to loan him to foreign clubs.

He has had spells at Lorient, Real Betis and Olymiacos though failed to impress for the most part. In over 80 games on loan Campbell has only managed to score 13 goals. He did put in a good performance against Manchester United in The Champions League last season, where he scored a sensational goal.

He also had a solid World Cup in Brazil, although his performances tailed off towards the end of the competition.

Meanwhile Balotelli has had a tough time in Italy since joining from Manchester City in 2013. He has suffered from racist abuse and is widely believed to want to leave AC Milan and return to England.

Despite this, he has still managed to find the net 30 times in 54 appearances in all competitions, proving his talent in from of goal. He would certainly be a good addition to Arsenal, adding to their threat in attack. Combined with their other signings the Italian could well help them mount a serious title challenge.
