Arsenal: A Deal finally agreed – report

Arsene-Wenger

Solid signing

With Bacary Sagna having departed the club it’s impossible to imagine Arsenal starting the new season without another right back.

We have been been keeping you up to date, over the last few days, with the notion of Matthew Debuchy moving to Arsenal.

The Metro reports that the deal for the player has now been agreed:

Arsenal have agreed a £12million deal for Newcastle United full-back Mathieu Debuchy – and will confirm the transfer after the World Cup.

Debuchy was strongly linked with a switch to Arsenal last week, with Arsene Wenger reportedly making him a top target to replace the departed Bacary Sagna.

Serge Aurier has of course been strongly linked to Arsenal over the last couple of months and we think that he would be an awesome addition.

But Debuchy probably represents a safer option – someone with Premier League experience and a player who is keeping Sagna out the French national side at The World Cup.

Perhaps Arsenal go for Aurier as well as he is an adaptable player who you could easily imagine slotting into a position on the wing aswell as providing cover for Aurier.

The signing of Debuchy would represent a really solid deal for Arsenal and we think that they should press ahead and get this one done so that they can concentrate on striking targets.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Arsenal fans: would this be your number one choice for right back?

Good business we turn down the chance to sign a 21 year old right back for £8m in favour of a 28 year old who will cost £12m shrewd deal?

this is very good deal. Jelkinson need a good teacher before he step up as a first team player. Good move from Wenger’s side to sign proven Prem player. Jelkinson will be ideal succesor if Debuchy retired from Arsenal.

Do it right now, but french players are too many in the club why don’t you look on other sides?
