Are these 4 Championship players Premier League bound?

By Guy P.

With the January transfer window now less than a month away, many Premiership clubs will be making plans to bolster their ranks for the second half of the season.  Here are 4 Championship players rumoured to be interesting the big boys.

Charlie Austin – The 23 year old Burnley striker’s prolific form this season has not gone unnoticed in the Premier League, where it is rumoured a number of clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool and Stoke are keen sign the player in January.  With 18 league goals to date this season it would appear that it is only a matter of time before Austin departs Turf Moor.

Tom Ince – The England U21 winger and son of former England and Manchester United star Paul Ince has been at his brilliant best since joining Blackpool last year from Liverpool, where he was deemed to be surplus to requirements.  Amongst a host of Premiership clubs purportedly clamouring for his signature are Manchester United and former club Liverpool.

Wilfred Zaha – The Crystal Palace winger/striker, who was capped by England in the friendly against Sweden last month, is arguably The Championship’s most prized asset.  A  number of Premier League clubs are reportedly eager to sign the player, including Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.

Jack Butland – Still only 19 years old, Birmingham keeper Jack Butland has been in inspired form this season.  With his financially troubled club languishing in nineteenth place in The Championship, January might seem like the perfect opportunity for the England international to join one of a host of Premier League admirers, rumoured to include Liverpool and Southampton.

Austin looks like he could step up to the level and score goals, and i doubt he would cost much either, Villa & Newcastle were linked a couple of months ago but went dead. Ince looks a player that will step up and look like he has been playing at the highest level for years, however he needs to choose his move wisely, signing for a big club he will ne limited to games, if he does decide to move on then he needs a club where he is going to play every week. Zaha i think the jury is out on, i dont know how he would take to the top flight, he looks a decent player but i just feel the hype is surrounding him. Butland would be a gamble in my opinion, he is yet to be tested and is still very young, he has looked good but when you ship 5 goals against Barnsley questions need to be asked.
