Chelsea

Another incredible double deal for Chelsea?

Life seems peachy for everyone associated with Chelsea these days. The now customary trouncing of foreign opposition last night, put Chelsea a commanding position in their Champions League group, a couple of days after they extended their lead in the domestic table.

But, clearly, the top brass at Chelsea still aren’t happy with the status quo. Mindful of the threats posed at home by the Manchester clubs and in Europe by Barca, Chelsea are reportedly looking to strengthen yet again.

If recent reports are to be taken seriously, then Chelsea may well look to add Sergio Ramos and Falcao to their number as early as the winter window.

Spanish media source ES claims that Ramos has expressed a desire to leave the Madrid giants and that Chelsea will make a bid in the region of £40m in January. If Ramos is worth £40m then my grandma would surely fetch at least £10m but Mr.Abramovich clearly isn’t short of a few bob and Ramos has improved since he has played more centrally for his current club.

As for Falcao, Chelsea’s interest has been well documented for some time and Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has been talking the player up in the last few days. He says he wouldn’t swap his striker for anyone in the world but the more cynical amongst us will see this as him simply trying to increase the player’s price tag before the inevitable sale of the hit man. Cerezo is quoted on ESPN as saying:

“Falcao is the best striker in the world,”……”That is not just my words, I refer to the evidence. Nor would I want to swap Falcao for Messi or Cristiano, Falcao is the best.”

After Chelsea’s recent history in the transfer market noone would be too surprised to see Ramos and Falcao in the Chelsea blue come January.

I think both these stories are paper talk ,despite their debts Athletico will not sell Falcao he is the one keeping Athletico in the top 4 in La Liga .
Ramos is going to leave but City is a more likely destination .
The only bit of biz we will do is recalling Lukaku in Jan .

We dnt really need ramos, what we need now is a striker, ie falcao and a defencive midfielder.

A defensive mid? Mikel? Rom? A stricker of falco quality is more then welcome and if the price is right then ramos too but 40 million is not “value for money” its hard to make 40 million pounds worth of an impact like a prolific goal scorer could, there both top players but all considered, wages, tax, sign on bonus ect, the deal would be in excess of 100/110 million and with Fifa financial fair play we risk exclusion from the champions league! I hope they come but i also hope we start looking into buying younger players at a smaller cost but with growth in mind!

If we do get ramos, azpilicueta would of been a pointless signing but knowing that ramos may soon be in blue is exciting. We definitely need falcao though, having sturridge as a back up centre forward doesn’t really satisfy me to be honest.

if my humble suggestion will reach to my chairman Roman Abramovich, i will suggest immediate signing of facao but not Ramos. we already have best defenders in de world in our team rit now, so we dnt need Ramos.

Falcao is d one who can cover drogba hole n abramovish should make haste to call on athletic madrid president, for d two club to make aggrement down, so that other clubs will not steal falcao from chelsea

I see some people would say ” We need him” about any player you would ask. We don’t need Ramos. 1 st we have plenty of good defenders. 2nd he is in conflict with a Mourinho and we cant forget that some day the special one may come to Chelse again.

I think that Chelsea should go for Radamel Falcao or another striker as good as him. There’s a certain Stefan Jovetic playing for Fiorentina, the guy is also good and he can go for a lesser amount. As for Ramos, he’s a good buy too but we don’t really need a defender again, what we need is a striker and a defensive midfielder to partner mikel. Thanks and GOD BLESS all the Chelsea fans.

Love to see them both at Chels but FFP makes me believe at least one of the 2 won’t happen if not both won’t happen. If either then Falcao would be my choice although, as pointed out by Michael above, we’re more likely to recall Lukaku if he’s on the 10 goal mark by January and we’ve still not had a chance to see Sturridge at CF due to injury and, thankfully, Torres form. DM may still be a need but again we need to see more of Romeu and Mikel gets a bad press whilst doing a great job bar the odd mistake in the most mistake likely position bar being keeper.
