Barca are preparing a final offer for Philippe Coutinho

Barcelona are heading to Liverpool as they attempt to wrap up a deal for Philippe Coutinho.

The Reds are reluctantly facing up to the fact that they will lose the Brazil international, who scored 13 goals and assisted a further 7 last season.

Catalan publication Sport claim that the Blaugrana are finalising a €90million offer which they hope will be enough to convince Liverpool to sell, especially with the playmaker reportedly keen to make the move.

Money is no object to the La Liga giants after the world record sale of Neymar, and they are in desperate need of an attacker who can come in and replace the PSG forward.

So far this summer, Ernesto Valverde has signed right-back Nelson Semedo and forward Gerard Deulofeu, but an established player like Coutinho would soften the blow of losing Neymar considerably.

What’s particularly worrying for Liverpool fans is that the same source suggest that the club’s owners are willing to override the wishes of Jurgen Klopp regarding the matter, as the manager is insistent that his main man should not be allowed to leave Anfield having signed a new five-year deal earlier this year.
