The two arrivals?

Having seen all of the preseason games Manchester United look in far better shape than they did for most of last season.

The most pleasing thing, from our perspective, is that Louis van Gaal has illustrated that Sir Alex Ferguson left the squad in excellent shape, despite what many of the doom mongers said.

But there are still areas of weakness and The Guardian reports today that one of those gaps may be plugged in the coming weeks.

Although Ashley Young has had an excellent tour Manchester United will surely want to strengthen in their wingback areas. Luke Shaw will need help on the left. And while Antonio Valencia and Rafael are quality players, if you want a really Hollywood addition at right wingback then you surely need look no further than the flying Colombian Juan Cuadrado.

Therefore The Guardian reports:

Van Gaal has ambition and drive and wants to see this embodied on the Old Trafford turf in the form of Juan Cuadrado, the turbo-heeled Colombian….They’ll have to compensate Fiorentina by leaving £31m (39m Euros) in their safe, mind

Cuadrado is an intelligent player with the sort of engine which would enable him to do the defensive work n a proficient manner. And, we all know what he’s like going forward. His pace and ability to run at speed with the ball would be the catalyst for many a counter attack.

When you add his crossing ability and goal threat to the equation you have an absolute dream of a player for LvG’s new 3-5-2 formation. Even at the figures being quoted we think that Cuadrado would be a great value addition.

Let’s take another look at him in action. Manchester United fans: any chance of snatching this lad out of the clutches of Barcelona?

It’s just too much of media speculation than the true reflection or you mean Man Utd transfer handling is pathetic?
