Manchester United: Paul Scholes was right

Paul Scholes was such a quiet lad, when he was playing for Manchester United, that you rarely saw him in front of the camera during his entire, glittering career at the club.

But he has more than made up for it since he retired as a player and, after giving a brilliant performance on Sky Sports Super Sunday last season, he has exploded into life as a pundit.

Some feel that he went too far in criticising Jack Wilshere and, particularly, Wayne Rooney, just before The World Cup.

It didn’t seem to affect Rooney’s form either way but Manchester United fans were a bit concerned about the impact his comments would have on the club going forward – fans are hopeful that both have a big future at Old Trafford.

But Scholes was one of the most revered footballers ever to play the game and many of his opinions are more precise than he is given credit for.

Because, over the last couple of months, he’s been lauding the qualities of Toni Kroos, who he believes should have been signed by Manchester United.

He said in June:

“I love watching Toni Kroos. I think he’s brilliant,”.

“I love the way he controls the ball and controls games. He can really play a pass and has superb vision.”

“Kroos is capable of scoring goals too, from outside the box on either foot.

“I just wish Man United had signed him.

“Yes, it is good to see United bringing in new players, but they haven’t signed anything like the quality of Kroos.”

And his opinions are being backed up by latest stats which suggest that Kroos was the best player of The World Cup.

In a report, by Castrol, Toni Kroos comes out on top of a survey of all the players in The World Cup based on a running, key passes, pass accuracy and shooting ability. He achieved a score of 9.79out of 10. Arjen Robben was a close second with 9.74.

Kroos was imperious in the tournament we and think that he would have been a fantastic signing for Manchester United.

Paul Scholes has clearly got an excellent eye for a player and should definitely be given a role at Manchester United this season and going forward.

We think that LvG can steer at Manchester United back to success over the next two or three years. But, after that, Ryan Giggs and his Class of ’92 need to be given the reins once more.

Let’s see Kroos in action. Manchester United fans: will the club rue not signing this player?

Man Utd remind me of this government, too slow to make decisions, with that in mind I doubt they will get in the top 4
Have to wait to see how LvGwill make Utd great again.

If Moyes were still in charge United would have Tom Cruise never mind Toni Kroos

Spotting good players and the club fails to sign nags fans a lot, look at Kroos and Vidal this two players could make a composed midfied but now Kroos is gone, the talk is on who besides Vidal. Every morning we rush to internet to check if Manutd has signed any good player but all in vein.
