World Class

Although no uber deals came off last summer that was talk of Manchester United smashing all of their transfer records to bring in Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo.

Although the deals weren’t completed there was a definite sense, and some substance, to the rumours that Manchester United were prepared to pay the going rate to bring these guys in. The Express reported that Manchester United actually outbid Real Madrid for Bale but were too late.

With Manchester United desperate to get back to winning ways and make a statement in the transfer market you do feel that such a deal could happen again for one of the world’s best.

And, at 22 years of age, you would imagine Manchester United should be in the market for a player of the quality of James Rodriguez.

The Daily Express reported Tuesday night that Manchester United are prepared to make a massive bid for the Colombian:

Man Utd readying £63m (79.8m Euro) bid for Liverpool and Real Madrid target James Rodriguez

He’s already expressed a preference for Real Madrid but that doesn’t mean that Manchester United shouldn’t at least try to sign the player.

Even putting in a bid and showing intent would prove to Manchester United fans that the club is serious about returning to the very top of the game.

Whatever formation Louis van Gaal wants to play next season we think the Rodriguez would be an unbelievably good addition.

He does seem open to a move from France and if Real Madrid can’t sell Angel di Maria then perhaps Manchester United could jump the queue for Rodriguez this summer.

Let’s see the lad in action. Manchester United fans would you should the club prioritise the signing of this lad whatever the cost?

As much as i would love to see James Rodriguez at Old Trafford, it hurts me to say that even if we did somehow manage to sign the talented colombian, it would be Ronaldo all over again. The player has openly admitted “it’s my dream to play for Real.” So considering this statement and his ambition to play in La Liga he will be off by the time he is 25!

I will say go all out for Marco Reus, 25, fine he chose Barcelona over us but i believe everyone deserves a second chance and United would profit from a very talented player with serious ability!

Let United buy him at least before he’s 25, he would have brought glory to United and United will gain selling him for a better fee to Real!

Marco rues all the way, iv been watching him for 3seasons and he jus gets better and better. Activate his buy out clause £29million. Speed skill goals free kicks proper winger/forward. Rodriguez is good but £60-70 million? U could buy rues and di Maria!!!!! Get united playing like we used to with devastating wing pace!

For me Man Utd need a defender more than a forward considering the departure
Of some defenders. Hope we see some new defenders soon
