Clues?

Arsenal fans are desperate for any snippets of information pertaining to Alexis Sanchez and his potential move to Arsenal.

And snippets is all that they are getting at the moment as there’s been no official word from either club.

But as well as the latest reports, which suggest that a deal is now very close, there are other portents in the press today which strongly suggest that the player is at least moving away from Barcelona this summer.

The Metro reports that merchandising shops around the Camp Nou have been selling football shirts with Alexis Sanchez’s number nine on their back. But the name on the shirt is Luis Suarez.

So either Sanchez will have to change his number next season or change his club. We definitely think that the latter is the case. Suarez now look nailed on for Barca and we think that Sanchez is leaving.

The question on everyone’s lips is will he come to Arsenal? If reports are to be believed then Liverpool could well be out of the running now as the player would prefer a move to England’s capital.

Juventus are also potentially keen on the player but they have been linked to Angel di Maria over the last 48 hours which could mean that they to have stepped aside because the Arsenal deal is most likely. So it look sever more as if Arsenal have stolen a march and jumped to the head of the queue in the fight to sign the brilliant forward.

We have received scores of comments about this move from Arsenal fans who are desperate for it to happen. They are in unanimous agreement that this guy would be a real sensation at The Emirates – someone who could fill in out wide or through the centre.
