Not good enough

This one has been in the sports pages for the last few windows and it might finally happen this summer.

Depending on what formation Louis van Gaal uses next season Manchester United may well need much more quality in the wide areas.

And recent reports suggest that Angel di Maria could be on his way out of Real Madrid as they look to sign James Rodriguez from Monaco this summer.

The Express reports that Di Maria has had offers from England and is considering his next move, with Manchester United reportedly one of his suitors.

The Express says:

ANGEL DI MARIA is weighing up offers from the Premier League with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all interested in the Argentine winger

Di Maria probably had his best season in Spain to date, in the last campaign, showing the sort of consistency that has often been missing from his game.

And despite scoring the winning goal against Switzerland for Argentina in the World Cup on Monday, anyone who saw that game will be highly dubious about the signing, especially if it’s going to cost Manchester United somewhere in the region of £30 or £40 million.

The plain fact is he’s simply not that special.

We would put him in a similar bracket to Portugal winger Nani, who is himself capable of sublime skill, but can’t reproduce a regular basis.

Di Maria will obviously have moments of beauty in every season but we don’t think he would be a worthwhile investment for Manchester United.

United need someone who is going to produce top form week in week out rather than someone who is only going to offer fleeting brilliance amidst a fog of mediocrity.

So we think that Manchester United should avoid signing Di Maria this summer.

Let’s see him in action. Manchester United fans what do you think?

Angel Di Maria is a good player as it’s been analysed, but he do go down easily, and he’s a type of player that flourish and deliver when playing against big teams but do flop against small teams, though i don’t know why.
But in general, he is a good player, i would have say man utd should sign him but there are better offer in term of roben provided Roben is available but if Roben is not: then…
