Unbelievable prospect

The agent of Columbian superstar, James Rodriguez, has suggested a transfer could be on this summer with Manchester United and Tottenham said to be on his trail, according to Talksport:

Manchester United and Tottenham have been put on red alert after the agent of Colombian star James Rodriguez stated he is keeping his options open over a big summer move.

Erayabakan, speaking on Italian website AreaNapoli, said: “I can confirm that I have spoken with Napoli.

“There are several European clubs after him, but it’s best not to say anything at the moment.

“How much will he cost? I don’t know. But what I can say is that his price has increased after the way he’s played these past few months.”

He’s only been at Monaco for a year and you would imagine that the player was pretty settled, based on his stats. He’s scored nine goals in 34 games in a brilliant debut season.

But France still a developing league and it appears that there remains a huge attraction to Spain and England, for the world’s best stars.

As such, several high profile stars who have moved to France, such as Edinson Cavani and Radamel Falcao, are rumoured to want moves to The Premier League or La Liga this summer and the same may be true of James Rodriguez after a dazzling World Cup so far.

At just 22 years of age he has lots of room for improvement but is already a fantastically composed and technically gifted footballer who can operate not just as a winger but in other positions across the front line. On current form he has to be one of the most dangerous players in Brazil.

Manchester United are in desperate need of more quality out wide and Tottenham too could use Rodriguez as their last major wide man signing, Erik Lamela, really hasn’t come to the party so far.

Whoever signs this guy will be buying almost guaranteed success.

Let’s take a look at the player in action. Manchester United and Tottenham fans: what’s not to like about this guy?
