Tottenham Favourites to Sign Prolific Live Wire Striker

It’s anyone’s guess what Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is going to do in the market this summer.

He bought very well for Southampton but the only strong rumour of a bid that we have heard of so far is for John O’Shea for 3 million quid. Dubious to some!

Whether that one has substance or not we do believe that Tottenham will definitely be in the market for strikers this summer.

It’s one area of the squad that needs serious reinforcement. Many managers like to build from the back but we think that footie is about scoring goals and if you can’t do that you’re not going to get anywhere.

One player who has been linked to a move is livewire Swansea striker Wilfried Bony.

His agent said last week that he is only interested in joining a top six club and we are certain that Tottenham would come into his reckoning if they were interested.

The striker eclipsed the brilliant Michu last season at Swansea scoring 25 goals and some important ones at that.

Bony is fast, mobile and causes all sorts of problems for defenders.

We think that he would be an excellent signing for the club and SkyBet have Tottenham as clear favourites to sign the player if he does leave Swansea this summer.

It’s obviously difficult doing business when the World Cup is in full swing but Tottenham need to move fast in the market as clubs that sign players early tend to do better in the league the following year.

Let’s have a look at Bony in action. Tottenham fans: does this guy boil your potatoes?

How can the O’Shea rumour be considered “strong”. It is the most unlikeliest of rumours and made up by a hack sports journo at a paper that invariably makes up loads of rumours and invariably gets the vast majority wrong
Fire enough bullets you are bound to have one or two hit the target but that doesn’t mean the shooter can be classed a marksman
