After a humiliating time for Italian football several years back, there’s been a renaissance in the league over the last few years, led by Juventus.
We are now seeing a Juventus team that is capable of competing with the very best, just like the sides in the 1990s which beat all before them.
They have some of the best players in the world in their side these days – players such as Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba, Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente – much sought-after footballers.
They will obviously continue to strengthen over the summer and they have been linked over the last 24 hours to Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. The Guardian reports:
José Mourinho, meanwhile, is set to grant Romelu Lukaku’s request to leave London by selling the Belgian striker to Juventus.
He’s been one of the best strikers in The English Premier League for the last two years which makes it all the more surprising that his current club, Chelsea, don’t seem to fancy him all that much.
He’s a really big, powerful player but has a great touch and real subtlety about his game – it’s a rare and potent combination.
He’s also scored goals wherever he has played and we think that he is going to be one of the most prominent strikers in The World Cup this summer.
Juventus aren’t exactly desperate for attackers but it’s commonly accepted that top teams have four in their squad and Juventus could probably add another stellar name this summer without rocking the boat too much. Furthermore, Lukaku might offer something a little different to what Juventus currently have.
While he does seem perfect for the fast-paced and physical Premier League, that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t succeed in Italy, because he is technically very good also.

I wanted Juve to sign him before he signed with Chelsea and he is even better now. I think he would be a great addition to our squad.
