Real Madrid in shock move – report

We have been talking for some time now about how Real Madrid might sign another player for the midfield department this summer.

Real Madrid always look to do a big deal for an attacker and they perhaps hope that Luis Suarez can be persuaded to join this time around.

But rumours persist that the European champions will also strengthen their engine room in this window.

And they have been linked, somewhat surprisingly, with an absolute gem of late – that is Ramires of Chelsea The Daily Star says:

Ancelotti signed Ramires in 2010 during his time in charge of Chelsea and remains a huge admirer of the 27-year-old.

According to MARCA, Ancelotti has told Madrid president Florentino Perez he wants to bring Ramires to the Bernabeu this summer.

Ramires was a big feature for Chelsea last season, as he has been since he joined the club 4 years ago, and we think that has got an important part to play in the team. But Chelsea also may be on the lookout for a dynamic hard-working mobile midfielder to partner Nemanja Matic so perhaps they’re happy to let Ramires go.

He can do anything on the ball but is also a very disciplined midfielder who covers every blade of grass for the team. We think he’s a perfect modern day Makelele.

The 27 year old is certainly technically good enough to play for Real Madrid and could add some solidity to the spine of the team. At a reported fee of £25 million he still seems like good value to us.

Let’s have a look at the lad in action. Real Madrid fans: keen?
