5 stellar talents

The goalposts seem to have been moved somewhat since the arrival of Louis van Gaal as Manchester United manager. Many of the assumed transfer targets for Manchester United appear to have changed as some believe that Van Gaal has pooh-poohed the idea of signing high profile midfielders such as Toni Kroos and Cesc Faregas.

So who else might come in this summer apart from the raft of Dutch players being mooted? soccersweep looks at the best feasible options for Manchester United.

Luke Shaw – is someone at Manchester United going to finalise this deal for the love of sweet baby Jesus? Louis van Gaal’s arrival seems to have stalled the deal but Manchester United would be absolutely bonkers not to push this one through ASAP.

Yehven Konoplyanka – We have spoken recently about Manchester United’s links to the Ukrainian winger. He’s lightning fast, can play in various positions and has real creativity and speed on the counter. United need wingers and he’s a total bargain for around £15m.

Inigo Martinez – an uber-talented defender who’s an up-and-coming player in La Liga. Barcelona are among the clubs reportedly been sniffing around and it surely be long before the Real Sociedad player gets snapped up. How many defenders have you seen scoring from the halfway line? TWICE! (SEE BELOW)?

Alvaro Vadillo – The 19 year old left winger has been likened to Cristiano Ronaldo after some stellar performances for Real Betis. Another flying winger who Manchester United fans would drool over.

Alexis Sanchez – The blistering winger can play in various formations, has great upper-body strength, speed and plenty of goal threat. Manchester United have to pursue him if he becomes available.

Alexis Sanchez is just another Nani! I will always choose Matt Hummels over any other central defender, Reus to be our new winger and number 7, if not Kroos then Fabregas to be our new play maker and Strootman our engine!
