Manchester United: Louis van Gaal wants to kick off his summer spend with this trio of classy internationals according to reports

Super trio

The season’s over now and the rumour mill is going chicken oriental isn’t it? But so far little or nothing to show for it except sore eyes from reading all the specco. Well hopefully the reported list of targets that LvG has passed to Manchester United is real and Ed Woodward will do a better job of snaring them than he did last summer.

The Guardian reports today on players who could be Manchester United bound before long:

Louis van Gaal is interested in Mats Hummels and Bruno Martins Indi…. And he is also keen to strengthen United’s midfield …..His latest apparent target is Éver Banega

Mats Hummels – Reports, perhaps hastily, asserted yesterday that Atletico defender Miranda was on his way to Old Trafford. The Hummels link would not necessarily preclude this – after losing Rio and Nemanja this season then two additions might be wise – but if Manchester United only buy one big name centre back we would take this guy every time. At 25 he’s coming into his prime and with 28 caps for Germany you know he’s worth his salt. Mobile, quick, a great passer and a threat at set pieces, he’s just a dream of a player. Snap him up.

Bruno Martins Indi – The 22 year old has become a regular in the Feyenoord side and has 12 caps for Holland in what looks to be a very promising career. He’s pacey, composed and can play at left-back as well as in the middle. You would imagine that LvG would be in prime position to sign him for Manchester United if he so wishes.

Ever Banega – The Argentina midfielder has 28 caps for his country was selected in the provisional squad for Brazil 2014. He’s a canny operator who’s been linked to Manchester United for some time. Let’s take a look at him in action.
